I can not say enough good things about Neil Boyd Photography. My wife and I were married in November and we planned the wedding relatively quickly. When we began looking for photographers we did not really know where to begin. We obviously checked out Google and yelp but there were a lot of great reviews for photographers out there. I was lucky that I actually got to meet Neil and Kristie through my work, as they do the professional photography for the firm where I work. After meeting them and seeing how easy they made that whole process, my wife and I went and met with Neil to discuss the wedding. We saw a slideshow of some of his previous weddings and were blown away. The quality was amazing and he had such an interesting take on all the different weddings he had photographed. Not only were the pictures incredible, but Neil is such an easy guy to talk with. He put absolutely zero pressure on us, let us know what the pricing options were and what we could expect. We were not super interested in having an engagement shoot or bridal shoot and there was never any pressure to tack on additional expenses. After talking with a few different people, we were easily the most impressed with Neil and hired him a couple of days after our initial meeting. On the day of the wedding Neil and Kristie (who is also awesome to work with) arrived early to set up. They photographed Erin first while she got ready, and although she is not one to be put in the spotlight, she felt very comfortable with both of them photographing her while she and her bridesmaids got ready. We next did the "first look" session. I don't generally enjoy getting my picture taken, but they made it fun and casual, which helped put me at ease. During the service and reception I never even noticed them, but after seeing the pictures they were able to get, they seemed to be everywhere without being intrusive in the slightest. The pictures turned out 1000x better than I had even hoped for, and they made our wedding look like a fairy tale. My mom had been very sick and I asked Kristie if she could put a rush on a few pictures with me, my mom, and dad. Kristie went out of her way and got me a few pictures to give to my mom before Christmas. This is only the second review I have written on yelp, but felt like they did such an exceptional job that I wanted to make sure others knew! I highly recommend Neil Boyd Photography to anyone, be it for a wedding, party, or whatever!
